As 2025 came to a close, Virginia Natural Gas employees showed care and commitment by coming together for the annual Energy to Give volunteer campaign. Across VNG’s service territory, teams partnered with local charities and nonprofits to deliver comfort and joy to those in need.
From lending a hand at food banks to organizing holiday gifts, VNG employees gave their time and energy to make a difference. Highlights from this year’s campaign include:
Fighting Hunger: Volunteers supported the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore and the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank, helping sort and distribute donations. VNG and our contractors also participated in the Mayflower Marathon’s annual food drive, ensuring families across the region were given access to nutritious meals. VNG has helped provide more than 1,007,000 meals to families in need across Hampton Roads and northeast North Carolina.
Honoring Heroes: Members of VetNet, one of our employee resource groups, prepared the Albert G. Horton Memorial Cemetery in Suffolk for the annual Wreaths Across America event, honoring fallen soldiers and veterans.
Delivering Warmth: Through our partnership with Operation Warm, we provided 240 new winter coats to children served by Thrive Virginia, bringing comfort and confidence to families in need.
Spreading Cheer: As a long-time supporter of the Salvation Army, our employees volunteered at the Angel Tree Christmas Depot, helping organize and prepare gifts for distribution. In addition, we assisted with donating Angel Tree gifts, ensuring each recipient received personalized presents. Thanks to our efforts, 55 local kids and their families enjoyed a brighter holiday season.
Beyond volunteer hours, Virginia Natural Gas and the Virginia Natural Gas Foundation awarded donations and grants throughout the year to organizations dedicated to enriching lives in the communities we serve.
At VNG, giving back isn’t just a tradition, it’s part of who we are. Thank you to every employee who made the season brighter for so many!
