Goals & Progress Highlights
As of 2023, we have reduced our methane emissions by more than 35% since our SAVE program began in 2012.
As of 2024, 100% of Virginia Natural Gas' residential and small business customers are fueled by Next Generation Natural Gas, or certified, low-emission natural gas sources.
In 2024, we donated more than $1.1 million to more than 80 local organizations.
Our Path To A Sustainable Future
Southern Company Gas’ goal is to achieve net zero direct greenhouse gas emissions from its operations by 2050. We also support reducing emissions across the natural gas value chain, from gas production to transmission to end uses.
