Energy to Serve: Impact in Action at VNG

Energy to Serve: Impact in Action at VNG

Our annual Energy to Serve campaign at Virginia Natural Gas (VNG) is a vibrant, month-long celebration of community, collaboration and purpose. This year, it brought together VNG employees and local community members in a shared mission to create meaningful change. Throughout the month, volunteers dedicated their time and energy to a variety of impactful service projects, including:

  • Participating in environmental clean-up efforts that helped beautify and restore local spaces at H.O.P.E. Village, Lakes Park and VNG Butterfly Garden
  • Placing American flags at the Albert G. Horton Jr. Cemetery in Suffolk to honor fallen soldiers for Memorial Day
  • Providing general maintenance and support for the Dreams of Hope Foundation, a humanitarian organization in Norfolk

Energy to Serve showed the incredible power of collective action. Teams worked side by side, united by a common goal: to support causes that matter deeply to the communities they live and work in. The atmosphere was filled with energy, compassion and pride as participants shared stories, built new connections and demonstrated their commitment to service.

VNG employee volunteers donated 257 hours of their time, a testament to their dedication and the scale of the impact made. But beyond the numbers, the true success of Energy to Serve was reflected in the sense of unity and purpose that everyone carried forward. It not only strengthened community ties—it also reinforced the values that drive VNG’s culture of service and social responsibility.
