Pipeline Replacement Projects (SAVE plan)
This work is part of the Steps to Advance Virginia’s Energy plan, our company’s natural gas infrastructure modernization plan, also known as SAVE. This program allows us to make necessary upgrades to our pipelines so we can enhance the safety, reliability and integrity of the natural gas distribution system. It is a multi-year plan approved by the Virginia State Corporation Commission.
Since the program’s inception in 2010, Virginia Natural Gas has successfully replaced 99 percent of low pressure pipeline from our natural gas system.
